#TBH: To Be Heard

Since my last post I've been dancing quite a bit.  I've had the privilege of dancing at a women's event at my church, one of my brother's initial sermon, and with a dance company called Shammah.  Below are a couple of pictures from my dance recital with Shammah, January 16, 2015.  I'm currently working on a dance with my church's dance ministry known as Divine Destiny Dance Ministry as well as the choreography for my church's youth mime ministry.   After these two pieces are complete I have decided to take a break from dance for a while.  I want to focus on growing in God more and seeking Him to allow his will for my life and dance to come to pass.  I will be praying about my next steps and I hope you'll be praying.  Stay tuned! The previous blog was something that came to me on my way to my dance class in Raleigh.  Those of you who know me know that I have a desire to dance.  I'm not the best dancer but I love doing it! Dancing makes me feel so free and more sociable.  Lately, I've been really pursuing that desire and trying to see what God wants to do with it.  Some things I've tried haven't worked out, some have.  On this "dream chase" I've noticed that an encouraging word or story comes to me while driving to or from my destination.  I decided that I should start logging those encouraging tidbits and share them.  This blog will contain those inspiring messages I collect along my journey. I love analogies! I get hype when I find the connections between two different things.  That's why I really enjoy parables, which is a type of analogy often defined as earthly stories with heavenly meanings.  They make the simple things in life seem so profound! I was on my way to Raleigh last Saturday, riding on I-40E.  Starting around Exit 293, I believe, the Division of Highways has begun to widen the highway.  Cosmetically, in order to widen it, they needed to remove the white lines and pavement reflectors indicating the old lanes to then put down the new lines and reflectors to indicate the new lanes.  I'm assuming that the pavement underneath the lines and reflectors had to be torn up in order to remove them because the highway was scarred. You can still see the imprints of the old lines and reflectors.  Driving on this new highway was a little scary because riding on the scarred part makes you feel like your tires aren't steady.  I felt like I...
